At the end of March 1972, under the direction of the Politburo and the Central Military Commission, our army and people launched a strategic offensive with a large scale and strong intensity in the main direction of Tri - Thien, continuing followed by the Central Highlands, the Southeast, the Zone delta N05 and the Mekong River Delta. The 1972 Strategic Offensive caused the US and the Saigon government to be surprised, stunned, and suffered considerable damage. In order to save the Saigon Army, the US military forces in South Vietnam, especially the air force, directly participated in the battle on the battlefield. The purpose of the article is study on the activities of the US Air Force of efforting to support the Saigon Army to cope with the Strategic Offensive in 1972 on the battlefields of South Vietnam.
