Improvement of SAM-2 missile equipment during the years of anti-war of sabotage in the North (1965 - 1972)

From 1965 to 1972, the US imperialists mobilized the large air and naval forces to wage a sabotage war in the North in order to sabotage the economic, military and defense potentials, and prevent international aids for Vietnam and the assistence of the North rear for the Southern frontline. Faced with that situation, along with the proactive building of forces and the people’s air defense posture, the improvement of SAM-2 missiles was carried out expeditiously and continuously, ensuring the promotion of strength and contributing to parts of the Vietnamese air defense forces to defeat two wars of destroying the North of the U.S imperialism, culminating in the victory “Hanoi - Dien Bien Phu in the air”, forcing the U.S Government to sign the Paris Agreement on the end of the war and the restoration of peace in Vietnam (January 27, 1973).
