The process of forming and changing the look of the Nhuong Dia - Don Thuy area in modern Hanoi urban area

In the modern period, the first area that the French occupied in Hanoi urban area and carried out the transformation and the change of look was the Nhuong Dia - Don Thuy area. From an abandoned military post of the Nguyen court, the Nhuong Dia - Don Thuy area was renovated and built into a French military base in Hanoi. The Nhuong Dia - Don Thuy area then continued to change its function and appearance to become a methodical and large-scale Western street, with many unique and outstanding architectural works such as Louis Finot Museum, Indochinese University, De Lanessan Hospital... It created the precious vestige values of Hanoi’s thousand years of civilization.
