Some remarks on the use of local forces in the nation building and defense history of the Vietnamese nation

Abstract

Vietnam is a country with an important geo-strategic position in all fields: politics, military, culture, economy, foreign affairs. It has been invaded and peered through by powers. Although the limit of land and people, the economy is still backward, but they often have to deal with invading armies manyfold. In the situation, the Vietnamese people created a way to organize, build and use forces of many types as the core for the entire people to fight the enemy. Along with the decisive role of the main army, our ancestors always attached great importance to promoting the great strength of the local forces, creating a unique and creative feature with the identity of Vietnamese military art.
